Villa d'Este Golf Club
Just 14 kilometres from the hotel, nestled in the tranquillity of the Montorfano area, the Villa d’Este Golf Club enchants with its timeless beauty.
Designed in 1926 by architect Peter Gannon and owned by the hotel until the late 1970s and then reacquired in 2024, the course lies 400 metres above sea level, surrounded by centuries-old chestnut, birch and pine trees.

The Course
Set amidst gentle hills and the splendour of Lake Como, the 18-hole course is one of Europe’s most charming and technically demanding “par 69” layouts.
Each year, it hosts prestigious international competitions, attracting golf enthusiasts from all over the world.

With the opening of La Terrazza al Golf, the Golf Club Villa d’Este introduces a new dining destination, deeply rooted in the heritage and enduring excellence of Villa d’Este. Overlooking the 18th hole, the terrace commands sweeping views across the course and the surrounding landscape, offering a setting of remarkable charm and tranquillity. Leading this new culinary chapter is Chef Orazio Stella, whose philosophy is guided by a refined balance between tradition and innovation. His cuisine celebrates the integrity of each ingredient, enhancing the finest seasonal produce with precision, harmony, and understated creativity.
The vision is further elevated under the supervision of Villa d’Este’s Executive Chef, Andrea Guerini, ensuring seamless continuity with the Grand Hotel’s distinctive elegance and timeless style. The terrace thus becomes a place where sophistication and quality are expressed in every detail.
